MIRS: Decider Strategies' Stu Sandler one of year's most quoted in Lansing in 2011

Most Quoted of 2011

When good quotes happen, MIRS is there. We've seen you turn and look at us in committee when something amazing is said. We've caught you off guard. We've asked the tough questions. We're on the other end of the line when you say something witty and then suggest it be quote of the day. We've enjoyed the #QOTD hashtag on Twitter. Now, we've run the numbers.

Gov. Rick SNYDER was by far the most quoted person this year, ranking first with 12 quotes of the day. "The Governor is never short of vision, ideas, outcomes to be achieved or things to say or do – that’s just one exhibition of dog years and RPA in action," said spokesperson Sara WURFEL. A solid second place was Ari ADLER, spokesperson for House Speaker Jase BOLGER (R-Marshall). He had nine quotes under his belt in 2011.

"If I have to come in second, at least it was to the state's most important nerd," Adler said.

Tied for third, with five quotes each, were Lt. Gov. Brian CALLEY, Senate Appropriations Chair Roger KAHN (R-Saginaw), Senate Majority Leader Randy RICHARDVILLE (R-Monroe) and House Appropriations Chair ChuckMOSS (R-Birmingham).

Tied for fourth, with four quotes each, were Practical Political Consulting partner Mark GREBNER, Senate Minority Leader Gretchen WHITMER (D-East Lansing), Sen. Coleman YOUNG Jr. (D-Detroit), Rep. Pete LUND (R-Shelby Twp.) and Stu SANDLER of Decider Strategies.

Tied for fifth, with three quotes each, were Michigan Republican Party Chair Saul ANUZIS, Sen. JackBRANDENBURG (R-Harrison Twp.), economist Charles BALLARD, Inside Michigan Politics publisher BillBALLENGER, former governor turned talk show host Jennifer GRANHOLM, and recalled Grand Blanc Rep. PaulSCOTT.
